I'm a California Girl. LA to be exact. I grew up in the center of the pop culture universe where film, music, and fashion collide. The perfect place for a creative rebel to thrive. The city has served as my playground, learning ground, and career launch pad. The sights, sounds and stories of the people of this dynamic place influenced my decision to embark on a career in public relations. To be a communicator, story teller, marketer, and most of all an image builder.
I'm passionate about what I do and am fortunate to have a team that feels the same. I have worked in the music industry for the majority of my career before taking that unique skill set and applying it to clients in the lifestyle, beverage, health & wellness, and non-profit sectors. I have a million stories to tell, some I can share, some I've been sworn to secrecy, and others are better left untold.
It's exciting to see the life-changing impact a creative communication plan can have on my clients, their brand, business, and the people they serve. Over the years I've lead campaigns that have generated billions of dollars in earned media and as many media impressions, resulting in increased brand awareness, business growth, marketing and investment opportunities and in some cases - careers and businesses that have shot straight into the pop culture stratosphere.
A stand out career moment was as Communication Strategist responsible for the PR / Marketing / Branding direction (and in Ozzy's case re-branding) which launched the Osbourne's - Kelly, Jack, Sharon, and Ozzy - into cultural icons and into multiple high profile careers. From Sharon Osbourne's talk show (I was a consulting producer and instrumental in it's launch) and her subsequent career as a talk show host; to creating partnerships with MAC Cosmetics and Pepsi; to the cover of every major magazine as well as TV specials and career defining projects - this is the perfect example of the impact of a well crafted integrated marketing campaign.
Another is the current work I'm doing as the PR Strategist for the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles where, together with marketing team Levit & Fixt, we've told the story of the incredible work the LA-Y has done to help high risk communities during the pandemic. Over 435 million earned media impressions have been secured in the last year, resulting in community awareness of vital programs and increased philanthropic giving.
Other career highlights include:
-- Creating and executing experiential marketing experiences for Anheuser Busch, AMBev, Sundance Film Festival, SXSW, Bramha Beer, Becks and CES.
-- Launching Costa Rica's #1 selling brand Imperial, Cerveza de Costa Rica, of which Lisa Vega Group was the Digital agency of record responsible for creating the visual branding/content for the brand's US launch.
-- Re-branding of B-Strong BFR training modality across all communication platforms, resulting in increase visibility, and multiple investment and business opportunities.
-- PR for Grammy-Award winning artists, music projects and multi-platinum selling records.
-- On Tour Publicist for multi-million dollar tours and festivals such as Eagles, Stevie Nicks, Lollapalooza, OZZfest, and Rolling Rock Town Fair.
I started my PR career at the famed Capitol Records where I worked with Heart, Duran Duran, and booked my first Tonight Show appearance for Katrina & The Waves. I served as WC Head of Publicity, Atco Records home of AC/DC and the Rembrandts and went on to be a tour publicist traveling the world with the industry's biggest legends gaining international PR and Marketing experience along the way. During the course of my career I've managed tour PR campaigns for the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, AC/DC, David Bowie, to name a few. Crowded House, Stevie Nicks, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Little Steven Van Zandt and his record label Wicked Cool Records, are among the artists I've worked with as well as a slew of talented up-and-coming artists.
