BACKGROUND:
CERVEZA IMPERIAL is Costa Rica’s #1 beer and a source of immense national pride. In 2017, the brand launched in the United States in key markets. We were hired as the digital branding agency of record tasked with creating the visual identity of the brand in the states and telling their story as the world's first water positive beer. The work included developing /designing a new U.S. branded website, video and visuals to tell the brand story to consumers and introduce the brand's water positive message. We also created and managed all digital properties including social media channels for the brand.
RESULTS:
- Positioned brand as a premiere import in the U.S. leading to business growth in the competitive beer industry.
- Effectively communicated brand identity and vision via unique content leading to brand recognition and increased sales among desired 21-45 target audience.
- Cultivated consumer engagement via branded social posts and at experiential events to build community among early fans of Imperial.
- Designed and created content for website to not only tell the brand story but to educate U.S. consumers on the effects being water positive has on the environment. This lead to a movement initiated by Imperial drinkers to take action to clean the beaches and rivers of their local communities.
